The Gingerbread Man, or Gman to locals, opened in 1973, making it Carlisle's oldest bar.
When locals return to their hometown of Carlisle, the bar they end up at is the Gingerbread Man. With two bars, pool tables, complete beer and cocktail menu, and extensive menu that goes beyond pub food, the Gingerbread Man is what you would definitely call a "neighborhood bar". In fact, it's so crowded on holiday weekends sometimes that you can't gain entrance until someone leaves.
The Gman takes its name from the ornate gingerbread woodwork that covers the walls and ceilings, giving it an Old World feel. With daily happy hours, beer and cocktail specials and frequent food specials, it's no wonder it's a local favorite.
